Cruising is the act of looking for sexual partners in places such as (but not limited to) parks, nude beaches and even public toilets.
The term ‘cruising’ was used as a code word in the closeted gay community, so those “in the know” could discuss the topic openly without the fear of facing homophobic harm.
Cruising in general consists of two or more men who do not know each other meet to have sex in an inconspicuous place. For some, gay cruising is a fetish, many people love the rush of hooking up with a total stranger whereas for men who are closeted it is the only way to express their sexuality.
